Clean-up Crew

Nature has its own clean-up crew.

Inspired by the often-overlooked creatures that perform an essential role within the African landscape, Clean-up Crew brings Claire Falconer’s folded, geometric language to wildlife sculpture.

Angular planes simplify the natural form without losing its character, while casting the original in bronze transforms something apparently light and fleeting into an enduring sculptural object.

Both playful and quietly reverential, the work reflects an ongoing fascination with the animals — celebrated and otherwise — that form part of the ecosystems around us.
